Dr. Mark was a renowned oncologist.

Once he was going to a very important conference in another city, where he was to be awarded the prize in the field of medical research. He was very worried, since at this conference his many years of work should have been appreciated. However, two hours after the plane took off, there was an emergency landing at the nearest airport due to some technical malfunction.

The doctor was afraid not to be in time, so he rented a car and drove himself to the city where the conference was to be held. However, shortly after he left, the weather turned bad and a severe hurricane began.

Due to heavy rain, he turned off to the wrong place.

After two hours of unsuccessful driving, he realized that he was lost.

The doctor felt hungry and terribly tired, so he decided to look for where to stay. After a while, he finally came across a decrepit little house. Desperate, he got out of the car and knocked on the door. A woman opened the door.

He explained and asked to use her phone.

The woman told him that she didn’t have a phone, but he could go in and wait until the weather improved. A hungry, wet and tired doctor accepted her gracious offer and entered. The lady served him food, hot tea and offered to join her prayer.

But Dr. Mark smiled and said that he only believed in hard work, and refused. Sitting at the table and drinking tea, the doctor watched the woman in the dim light of candles, as she prayed next to the crib.

The doctor understood that the woman needed help, therefore, when she finished praying, asked her what exactly she wanted from God and did she really think that He would ever hear her prayers.

And then he asked about the little child in the crib near which she was praying. The lady smiled sadly and said that the child is her son, who suffers from a rare type of cancer, and there is only one doctor, Mark, who can cure him, but she does not have money to pay for treatment. In addition, the doctor lives in another city. She added that God still has not answered her prayer, but she knows that He will help her and nothing will break her faith.

Stunned and speechless, Dr. Mark simply burst into tears.

He whispered: “God is great!” - and remembered everything that happened to him today: a malfunction in the plane, a downpour, which caused him to go astray. All this happened because the Lord not only answered her prayer and gave him a chance to help the poor unfortunate people who had nothing but prayer, but also made a big revolution in his own soul.

Do not worry if something goes wrong as you planned. Do your best for your achievement and be sensitive to the DIVINE providence, giving HIM the opportunity to show you the future path.
